How The Weekend Works
Here’s your chance to spend your hen or stag weekend like no other! A unique canal boat party departing various points throughout the UK. Join the boating community and navigate the locks whilst stopping at endless pubs on the way for a refreshing tipple or some food! Stock up on drinks and set up your own barbeque on board. We will show you how to skipper the boat and provide you with some suggested routes but you are free to pretty much go where you like. As long as the boat is returned that is! We provide these weekends for any occasion so whether it’s a birthday weekend, team building or just a family weekend the activity will work the same.
All boating weekends include 3 nights boat use (Friday to Monday), tuition, car parking, handbook and cruising notes. Nothing else to pay! There are no fees for mooring the boats.
You will have exclusive use of various boat berths for your weekend. They range from 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 berths so no matter your group size we can always accommodate you.
We can also provide 1 or 2 week breaks.

As we are stag and hen party organisers we can also add on a wide range of activities to your weekend. So whether it’s zorb football you’re after or a cocktail making class we’ve got it all covered.
How a typical boating weekend works:
-Arrive and park at the marina on Friday afternoon.
-You will have an induction for approx. one hour on how to operate the boats and locks.
-Moor up at a pub on the Friday night.
-Cruise to the nearest main city on the Saturday morning arriving early afternoon.
-Spend all day and night in the city.
-On Sunday when you’ve managed to wake up you can head back to the marina ready to return the boat on the Sunday evening if you’ve got work the next day or Monday morning at 9.00-9.30am.
Typical Boat Details
Cruiser stern narrowboat. Quiet water-cooled diesel engine with simple controls. Side doors from central galley area. Instruction and buoyancy aids supplied free of charge.
On Board Canal Boat Features
Radio / CD player, colour television, hairdryer, 12v mobile phone charging point (bring your own car charging lead). 1 medium size towel per crew member, plus 1 hand towel per bathroom. Welcome pack including: 1 bottle of washing up liquid, 1 dish cloth, 1 tea towel, 1 floor cloth, toilet roll & bin liner. Helmsman’s waterproofs & umbrella.
Bedding Arrangements
Boats Sleep up to 12. Double berth or two single berths, one with optional bunk over in both rear and forward cabins. Choice of dinette/double or two single berths in both centre cabins. Freshly laundered bedding for each crew member. Additional bedding available on request.
Fuel
The narrow boat is handed over ready fuelled and on return to the marina at the end of your canal boat holiday period the canal boat will be refuelled and any difference to the deposit paid will either be refunded or charged. It’s mormally refunded as the boats use little fuel!
Bathroom
Two bathrooms each with hand basin, flush toilet, and shower. 240v shaver socket.
Kitchen
Fully equipped galley with 4 burner gas cooker complete with grill and oven, refrigerator, sink and drainer, work surfaces and storage space. Microwave. Suitable saucepans, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery etc. for the number of berths.
Quotes are based on current availability and price shall be confirmed at time of booking. Activities can and do book out months in advance. A small deposit per person allows us to secure your event with the remainder shortly before your event.
